Merge Options
You can access the Merge Options dialog in the following ways:
- Ribbon bar. Select the Data tab. In the Manage group, click Merge to display the Merge Options dialog.
- Classic menus. On the Data menu, select Merge to display the Merge Options dialog.
This dialog contains four tabs: Variables, Text Labels, Cases, and Options. The options described here are displayed in the Merge Options dialog regardless of which tab is selected. Note that these options are used to merge 2 files. To merge more than 2 files, see the Statistica Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Overview.
| Option | Description |

| File 1 | The File 1 field displays the name of the active file. Click the File 1 button to browse for a different spreadsheet from disk or to select any currently open spreadsheet. |
| File 2 | Click the File 2 button to browse for the spreadsheet you want to merge with File 1. The File 2 field will display the name of the file. Statistica adds the variables of File 2 after the variables of File 1. |
| OK | Select the desired options on the tabs, and click the OK button to perform the merge. |
| Cancel | Click the Cancel button to close this dialog without merging any data files. |
