This document was written for the ALPHA release of the TIBCO EBX® Match and Merge Add-on. As such it is only meant to provide a high level of conceptual information and instructions to complete basic tasks. In future releases, its content will be expanded and more in-depth.
In an administrative role with the TIBCO EBX® Match and Merge Add-on, you can perform configuration tasks that:
Specify which data is governed by matching processes.
Determine when and how matching processes execute.
This Quick Start Guide gives you instructions on how to complete the above tasks. Chapters and sections are ordered in recommended sequence of completion. After you become more familiar with the add-on, feel free to use this as a quick reference for configuration-related tasks.

Applied to records, the state identifies whether the record has participated in a matching operation and its role in that matching operation. States are Golden, Merged, Deleted and Unset. Please refer to the individual definitions of these terms.
