Installation Requirements

Before you run the installer, ensure that the environment meets all the hardware and software requirements and that you have appropriate privileges to run the installer.

Required Software

The runtime libraries of TIBCO FTL® Release 5.3 are required to run the the eFTL server component. That is, before you install the eFTL server component, the target installation environment must already contain the FTL runtime component.

The realm server of TIBCO FTL Release 5.3 is required to configure the eFTL server component.

  • Installer Account
    Ensure that you have appropriate privileges, depending on the platform on which you are installing.
  • Hardware and Software Requirements
    For information about the hardware and software requirements, supported platforms, and other important information, see the product readme file.
  • Default Ports
    The following table lists the default ports used by TIBCO eFTL and related software. If the default port is not available when you test an installed process, you must explicitly supply a substitute on the process command line.
