Accepting a Self-Signed Certificate

To instruct your browser to accept the FTL server’s certificate or the eFTL service's certificate, complete this task.

Procedure

  1. In the browser’s URL pane, enter the URL of the FTL server (or for legacy clients, the eFTL service) using this template: 
    https://host:port

    The browser displays a security dialog.

  2. Inspect the certificate to ensure that it is genuine and correct.

    If it is not, then do not complete the remaining steps of this task.

  3. Resolve the security issue by trusting the certificate.

    Some browsers use alternate terminology, such as accepting the certificate, or allowing an exception for this server or certificate.

  4. Use this address template to reach the FTL server (or for legacy clients, the eFTL service) : 
    wss://host:port/channel
