This post-installation task on Linux is optional. Consider completing this task only if you installed EMS by extracting the software from the TAR packages, and only if you need other TIBCO products (such as the TIBCO Runtime Agent) installed after EMS to find the EMS installation.
Procedure
Navigate to
EMS_HOME.
Run the post-installation script
bin/post-install.sh
Verify the directory or file
_installInfo/ems-<version>.000_prodInfo.xml has been generated in the grandparent directory of
EMS_HOME.
For example, if
EMS_HOME =
/opt/tibco/ems/10.1, then the generated file name is
/opt/tibco/_installInfo/ems-10.1.0.000_prodInfo.xml

Note: This procedure only works when your
EMS_HOME path ends with
ems/10.1.
