Introduction 



The TIBCO Foresight Instream MAC (Medicare Administrative

Contractor) Adapter utilizes data that has been validated by

TIBCO Foresight Instream to convert EDI to and from flat file

format for compliance with the Centers for Medicare and

Medicaid Services-supplied Claims Edit Module requirements for

electronic processing of claims. The MAC Adapter performs

CMS/MAC complex edits and provides correctly coded

acknowledgement reports including 277CA and 999 response

documents.
