FormBuilder Services

There are four BusinessWorks FormBuilder services: TIBCOpps.war, TIBCOpas_pps.war, TIBCOsta_ps.war, and Formflows.war.

These services are managed such as the following:

Service Name	Description
FormBuilder Portal Page Service (TIBCOpps.war)	One of the most heavily used services, the FormBuilder Portal Page Service is a client of portlet application services that provide the portlets available to portal users. Through its communications with other services and end users, this service manages the following: • Authentication   Authenticates users and other services. • Retrieving portlet content   Interacts with the portlet application service, gathering the information that is later displayed in the portlet. • Rendering pages    Renders the content using page templates after the portlet content for a page has been gathered.
FormBuilder Portal Page Service - Portlet Application Service (TIBCOpas_pps.war)	This Service is the supporting Portlet Application Service of the Portal Page Service. The hosted portlets include the common portlets such as the login portlet.
FormBuilder Shared Template Application Service (TIBCOsta_ps.war)	This service hosts the layout templates and skins that are needed by the Formbuilder Portal Page service.
FormBuilder Portlet Application Service (Formflows.war)	This service hosts the Formrunner portlet and its configurations. The Formrunner portlet application service has an embedded TIBCO BusinessWorks engine that runs the formflows.

Do not change the following settings and parameters

Certain settings and parameters are used internally by TIBCO BusinessWorks FormBuilder at runtime and should not be changed during or after an application has been deployed.

These settings and parameters that should not be modified are located in the Servlets tab for each FormBuilder service as follows:

•	All context-params for all services

•	The proxy servlet settings for the TIBCOpps.war service

•	The url-pattern of forms servlet for the Formflows.war service
