Required Software

This section describes required software components for TIBCO BusinessWorks FormBuilder.


	For supported versions of required components, see the readme.txt file provided with this release.

The following software must be installed before installing TIBCO BusinessWorks FormBuilder:

Product	Purpose
TIBCO Runtime Agent (TRA)	TIBCO Runtime Agent consists of two parts: Software library This library is required and includes TIBCO products, such as TIBCO Rendezvous, as well as third-party products. TIBCO Hawk agent This software communicates with other TIBCO products and the TIBCO Administrator server. TIBCO Runtime Agent is required on any machine on which a TIBCO BusinessWorks FormBuilder component is installed.
TIBCO Presentation Service	Two features of this product, Runtime and Designer, are needed in order to run TIBCO BusinessWorks FormBuilder. TIBCO Presentation Service Runtime and Designer features are included in the TIBCO BusinessWorks FormBuilder suite package.
TIBCO Designer	Design-time environment for creating formflow definitions, custom forms, automated process definitions, and archive files for deployment. TIBCO Designer is included in the TIBCO Runtime Agent suite package.
TIBCO BusinessWorks	Provides palettes and tools for creating automated process definitions in TIBCO Designer. The TIBCO BusinessWorks process engine creates and runs instances of automated process definitions.
TIBCO Administrator (Enterprise Edition)	This component provides a central administration server for managing projects and archives created with TIBCO Designer. User management and domain administration features are also provided. The package consists of the TIBCO Administrator server and the TIBCO Administrator browser application.
Servlet Engine	A servlet engine is used for running the FormBuilder Desktop application and its details must be specified during component registration. To install Apache Tomcat engine, follow the instruction described in Installing Apache Tomcat. To install any other supported servlet container or application server, please refer to the documentation provided by its vendor.
Web browser	A web browser is required for accessing FormBuilder Desktop, for previewing forms, and for running formflows.
