TIBCO BusinessWorks FormBuilder enables you to create projects that contain HTML forms and formflows in TIBCO Designer. Forms are resources for collecting user input. Formflows display forms and define the process flow, including mappings for form data. Formflows are hosted in the FormBuilder Desktop and can be grouped in pages and page folders within the desktop.
A TIBCO BusinessWorks process engine also runs in the servlet container, allowing formflows to call automated processes and provide seamless integration between formflows and TIBCO BusinessWorks features. Automated processes in a formflow application provide the same feature set as in TIBCO BusinessWorks, without restriction. Formflow application components need not be directly related to processing or storing form data. Details of run-time interactions between components are provided in later chapters.
Skins can be used to customize the look and feel of a FormBuilder desktop. A formflow application can function as a self-contained web application, or can provide a means for collecting user input for deployed TIBCO BusinessWorks projects.
