Product Order Data Mapping
Fulfillment Provisioning Catalog component decomposes each Product Order (PO) of a Service Order (SO) into corresponding Technical Product Orders (TPO) using product catalog configuration.
A PO represents an order on a customer facing product that can not be directly rendered in the network by Fulfillment Provisioning. Only a TPO that represents an order on a resource facing product can be executed (by POP component) using an associated Product Order Flow ( flow of work orders).
The execution of a TPO could require parameters attached to the SO but also to the parent PO. Fulfillment Provisioning Catalog can automates a deep copy (all parameters are copied) of the parent PO parameters into the TPO before execution, or can control for each TPO the creation and the valuation of parameters. This latter mechanism is called PO Forward Mapping.
Once ServiceOrder is finished, Technical Product Order datasets might be mapped back by a similar mechanism called "PO backward Mapping"
