Testing Service Orders
The Service order data menu item lets you test your catalog configuration. Fulfillment Provisioning uses information you provide to create and then process a "dummy" service order without actually provisioning the order.
This lets you test your catalog configuration, answering questions such as "what happens if I use these product orders together" or "what impact does the pattern definition have on this ServiceOrder".
The service order is not deleted, so you can examine it later if needed for debugging purposes. You can delete it manually using its ReqId.
You can also add subscriber context data to help with your order testing.
Click on Service order data in the left-hand pane, choose ServiceOrderData from the drop-down menu and click "+". The following page is displayed.
Use this page to define a service order with some initial product orders, then click Next. Another screen appears allowing you to enter the dataset values.
Click on Next. Enter the PO and SO datasets in the next page, then click "Create ServiceOrderData". The following page is displayed.
This page contains all data ready to be executed as a test service order. Click on Start Iteration... to test Fulfillment Provisioning Catalog's processing of your product order. A similar page appears, but now it contains a trace listing and the sequenced product orders. You can check these to make sure that Fulfillment Provisioning Catalog has processed the order correctly.
