Patterns

A pattern is a cluster of parameters that together describes some feature or aspect of a feature, typically a selection of network capabilities.

A pattern also specifies the access that operating users have for each of its parameters. The 'visible' setting determines whether operating users can see the parameter at all. If they can, then the 'readonly' setting controls whether or not they can edit the parameter. In the pattern screen, you can set the mandatory and published check boxes that are used in the validation/enrichment process.
