Understanding Order Parenting
The order parenting enables you to access service orders from their originating service orders through an API call. The service orders are identified as parent and child orders based on a particular attribute. The Operation Administration and Maintenance traces the originator attribute of a service order and allows an affiliated service order to directly access the corresponding parent service order by clicking on its identifier.
The parent service order can be accessed from the child service order. The Operation Administration and Maintenance graphical user interface facilitates the navigation between a parent and child by providing links to access the child service orders from the parent service orders and vice versa. The custom implementation to this feature calls a specific API to adjust the logical links based on the requirement.
