The following points present the OSS/J Order Management components that are applicable to the Fulfillment process:
The Product Activator receives product orders from CRM systems using OSS/J Order Manager API and activates them. It accesses Product and Service Catalog to retrieve the SID Service Specifications bundled in the requested Product Specification. It delegates the work required to activate the services to the Service Activator.
The Service Activator accepts the service orders received using OSS/J Order Manager API and activate them. It undertakes the necessary steps to create and execute service orders, decomposing them into several resource orders using Service and Resource Catalog to retrieve required Resources‟ Specifications. It delegates the work required to activate the resources to the Resource Activator.
The Resource Activator accepts the resource orders from the service activation system using OSS/J Order Management API and activates them. . It undertakes the necessary steps to create and execute resource orders to configure network elements.
