Installation Requirements

Required Software

Before you run the installer, ensure that the environment meets all the hardware and software requirements and that you have appropriate privileges to run the installer.

Java Runtime Environment (JRE), version 1.8 or later, 64-bit, is required to run your Java application programs.

Java Developer Kit (JDK), version 1.8 or later, 64-bit, is required to develop Java application programs.

Installer Account

Platform Account Privileges
Microsoft Windows You must have administrator privileges for the machine on which this product is installed. If you do not have administrator privileges, the installer exits. To continue, either log out of the system and log in as a user with the required privileges, or request that your system administrator assign the privileges to your account.

To install the product on a network drive, ensure that the account used for installation has permission to access the network drive.

Linux For system-based installers, you need sudo privileges for installation. However, for extracting TAR files, you do not need special privileges.
Mac OS Administrator privileges are required for installation.
