Application Instance Identifier

Administrators can arrange transports to implement endpoints in different ways, and select among them at runtime using an application instance identifier.

Application programs can obtain that identifier from the command line, a configuration file, or an environment variable, and then supply that identifier as a property value in the realm connect call.

Design this ability into all application programs from the outset, even if you do not expect to use it. Coordinate with administrators to agree upon a standard way for programs to obtain identifiers (see TIBCO FTL Application Coordination Form).
