Zones Grid
The Zones grid presents definitions of forwarding zones and clusters for wide-area durables, along with selected details. In edit mode, you can add and delete zone definitions, and modify existing definitions.

Zone Level
| Column | Description |

| Zone | Required.
Name of the forwarding zone. Zone names must be unique within the realm. All names are limited to a maximum length of 256 characters. |
| Active | You can activate or deactivate forwarding of wide-area durables with a zone. |
| Type | A zone can operate as a full mesh, as a hub-and-spoke network, or as a limited hub-and-spoke network. For details, see Arranging a Wide-Area Store. |
Cluster Level

| Cluster | Required.
Name of a persistence cluster. All names are limited to maximum length of 256 characters. |
| Role | When the zone type is either hub-and-spoke or limited hub-and-spoke, one cluster in the zone has the hub role, while all the others have the spoke role. |
