Persistence Cluster Details Page

You can view detailed monitoring and configuration information about a Persistence Cluster by clicking that cluster's name in the persistence cluster row. The Persistence Cluster Details page consists of two tabs: Cluster and Stores.

Cluster Tab

The Cluster tab shows cluster properties, persistence server status, and historical stats about the leader of the cluster. The following columns are present in the persistence server status table:

Column Description
Server Name The name of the persistence server.
Member Status The status of the persistence server.
Server Disk Usage

The amount of disk currently in use for storing messages and acks, followed by the amount of disk allocated by this persistence service.

As messages are consumed, the amount of disk in use generally decreases. For performance reasons, however, the persistence service does not immediately release disk space to the OS.

If the amount of disk in use is close to the amount of disk allocated, the persistence service may soon allocate more disk, increasing disk usage on the system.

If the amount of disk in use is much lower than the amount of disk allocated, a compaction might release disk space to the OS.

System Disk Usage

For the filesystem where the persistence service data directory is located, this is the total amount of disk used, followed by the total disk capacity.

If the amount of disk used is close to the disk capacity, the persistence service may soon stop accepting new messages.

You can also perform the following administrative actions on a persistence server by clicking the three dots on the right-hand side of the persistence server row in the status table:

Action Description
Change Log Level Change the logging level of a persistence service. For the meaning of log level values, see [og Level Reference in TIBCO FTL® - Enterprise Edition Deployment.
Note: If the cluster has a DR set, the persistence server status is in two tabs: Primary set and DR set.

The following charts are displayed below the persistence server status table:

Chart Description
Leader Pending Messages

The total number of messages stored by the persistence cluster leader.

A large number may indicate slow or offline consumers.

Leader Message Memory The total size of the messages stored by the persistence cluster leader.
Leader Messages per Second

The rates at which the persistence cluster leader is sending and receiving messages.

Note: The default persistence cluster handles internal monitoring data. The inbound message rate for the default persistence cluster(ftl.default.cluster) leader includes internal monitoring data
Leader Disk Rates The rates at which the persistence cluster leader is performing disk read and write operations.

For information about the Cluster Properties shown in this tab, see Persistence Cluster Configuration.

Stores Tab

The Stores tab enables you to view basic health information about Persistence Stores within a particular Persistence Cluster. This is also where you can perform administrative actions on a persistence store. For more information about administrative actions, see Persistence Store Administration. The following columns are available in the persistence stores table:

Column Description
Name The name of the persistence store
Message Size The amount of storage the messages in the store consume
Message Count The number of messages in the store
Durables Number of durables in the store
