Method

Purpose

This method (on all platforms) sends an email notification.

Remarks

The To and Subject fields are only mandatory fields and all other fields are optional. If From is not specified, the current host ID is used. If the Content field is blank, the text of the Subject field is used. If the Mail Server is not specified, then SMTP server configured in the agent sends email.

Rulebases can send mail upon detecting a specified condition.
