Creating a Project

The TIBCO Designer GUI is used to configure the adapter instances. When starting TIBCO Designer, you must create or select a project. A project contains the configuration files that define options used by a runtime adapter. After you configure a project, you can convert it to a repository file and make it available for use by the runtime adapter.

 

To create a project:

1.	Start TIBCO Designer by executing the following command, depending on your operating system:

−	On Windows Navigate to:

TIBCO_HOME/designer/<version>/bin directory

Click on designer

−

On UNIX:

From a command window, change directory to the TIBCO_HOME/designer/<version>/bin directory, and type ./designer

2.	In the TIBCO Designer dialog, click the New Empty Project button.

In the Save Project dialog, select the Multi-File Project tab(if it is not selected), and click the Browse button for the Project Directory field. Navigate to the TIB_ADLDAP_HOME\examples directory, and click the Create New Folder button. Name the new folder LDAPConfig, and click the OK button.

3.	In the Save Project dialog, click the OK button. The project will be saved in the LDAPConfig directory.

The next figure shows the TIBCO Designer GUI with the LDAPConfig project defined.
