Chapter 1 Preparing LDAP Server Interfaces TIBCO ActiveMatrix® Adapter for LDAP brings LDAP servers into the TIBCO interoperability framework. The adapter allows applications configured for the TIBCO environment to communicate with LDAP servers without any knowledge of LDAP protocol, LDAP APIs, and LDAP server implementation. Applications can use messages on either the JMS or TIBCO Rendezvous transport to retrieve information from or update LDAP servers, or receive changes occurring on the LDAP servers. This document describes how to configure and deploy TIBCO ActiveMatrix Adapter for LDAP software. Before configuring the adapter, you must prepare the LDAP Server applications’ interfaces so that the adapter can interoperate with it.
