Creating a Global Variable

You can create a new global variable for use by any and all procedures. To do this, perform these steps:

Click the Add new Global Variable icon

The Add New Global Variable window is displayed.

On the Add New Global Variable window, specify a value for the Name and Value parameters. For information about these parameters, see the Global Variable Parameters table.

Note:

•

Global Variable names can be up to 15 characters long and can contain letters, digits, underscore characters, and must start with an alphabet. Global Variable names are converted to uppercase irrespective of how they are originally entered.

Global Variable value can be up to 511 characters long.

After specifying appropriate values for the parameters, click ADD to create the new global variable.

**Global Variable Parameters**
Field	Description
Name	The name of the global variable to be set.
Value	The value for the specified global variable.
