Description

The setting of this option determines whether messages that are locked, due to currently being open, are shown as locked in the staffo table.If you want locks to be known externally i.e. using plist -mv then WIS_WRITE_LOCKS has to be set to 1.If WIS_WRITE_LOCKS is set in the SWDIR\etc\staffcfg file then the WIS process will also update the staffo database table to flag the record as being changed i.e. locked (and commit the transaction).

Tuning

Setting this to 0 reduces the amount of I/O performed by the WIS processes when items are opened.
