SMTP Server Parameters

The SMTP Server Parameters dialog box allows you to configure the parameters that the iProcess Email Server Plug-in will use to connect to an SMTP server.

Note 

The values you specify in the SMTP Server Parameters dialog are written as parameters to the SWDIR\libs\eai_mail.cfg file. For more information about these parameters, see TIBCO iProcess Email Plug-in User’s Guide.

If you are upgrading a system that already has the iProcess Email Plug-in installed, the default values shown in this dialog box are taken from the existing SWDIR\libs\eai_mail.cfg file.

Specify the default email address that you want to use to send EAI Mail messages from.

Host

Specify the name or IP address of the machine hosting the SMTP server that you want to use.

Specify the TCP port number on which the SMTP server is running.

Test Connection

Click this button if you want to test the connection to the SMTP server using the specified Host and Port parameters.

Specify SMTP Backup Hosts

Check this check box if you want to specify SMTP backup hosts.

Click the Next button, the SMTP Backup Servers dialog box appears. Configure the parameters for your SMTP backup servers in this dialog box. For detailed information, see SMTP Backup Servers.

Specify Mail Message Headers

Check this check box if you want to specify the header information to be used with all EAI Mail messages.

Click the Next button, enter the information in the Enter Message Header field.
