General Data Protection Regulation
The GDPR articles state the regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
The intention of the GDPR is to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals in the European Union (EU). With the GDPR going into effect in May 2018, it is imperative for organizations to protect this data and report breaches. All organizations that target their goods and services to EU citizens are affected by GDPR.
