Logging in to the Appliance

Procedure

  1. Open an Internet browser on your workstation and connect to the appliance by entering https://10.0.0.11 in the browser address line.
  2. Accept the certificate.
    A login screen appears.
  3. Enter the default user name (admin) and password (admin).
    The appliance displays the End User License Agreement (EULA).
  4. Accept the EULA. The appliance asks you to enter a new password, which must be at least six characters long and contain at least one number.
  5. Enter a new password.

What to do next

A warning message might be displayed indicating the time on the appliance is not set or synchronized. You can ignore this warning. For more information, see Setting the Time Zone and Time.

It is good practice to also create a secondary administrative account. You can do this now or later.
