Updating the Virtual Appliance Hardware Version

The LogLogic EVA instances are created and distributed with older version (version 9) of the virtual appliance hardware.

By upgrading the LogLogic EVA hardware version through vSphere client, you can make the VM more compatible with ESXi.

Procedure

  1. Shut down the LogLogic EVA instance.
  2. Open the VM setting editing window, right-click the VM, select the Upgrade hardware version option, and click Yes.
    The hardware version of this instance is updated to the latest version that this ESXi server supports.
  3. Boot up the LogLogic EVA instance.
