Updating the Firmware

Update the integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) and the BIOS firmware on your appliances.

Tip: It is good practice to update the iDRAC before updating the BIOS.
  1. Updating the integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) Firmware
    You can update the iDRAC firmware by using the iDRAC Web user interface.
  2. Updating the BIOS Firmware
    You can update the BIOS using the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) based BIOS flash utility or the .exe BIOS flash file as applicable to your appliance.
