Creating and Activating LogLogic Signed Certificates
Use the
LogLogic Signed Certificate tab to create and activate a LogLogic signed certificate for your appliance IP.
Warning: Completing this procedure before changing the Certificate Signing Request changes the private key. You must maintain consistency between your keys.
Procedure
Click
Administration
> SSL Certificate.
The
LogLogic Signed Certificate tab opens.
In the
Common Name text field, enter the DNS name (recommended) or IP address of the LogLogic Appliance.
In the
Organizational Unit text field, enter the name of your department.
In the
Organization text field, enter the name of your company.
In the
City text field, enter the name of your city.
In the
State Name text field, enter the name of your state.
In the
Country drop-down menu, select the abbreviation of your country.
In the
Validity Period text field, enter the number of days for which the certificate remains valid.
Click
Activate.
Result
The appliance creates its own certificate and private key using the LogLogic root CA to sign the certificate, and then activates the new certificate and private key. Tomcat automatically restarts to apply the changes.
