Installing the CMA Attachment Brackets

Depending on the cable routing from the system, attach the CMA to either the right or left mounting rail.

Note: It is good practice to mount the CMA on the side opposite of the power supplies (SIDE A). Mounting to SIDE B requires the CMA to be disconnected in order to remove the outer power supply. Always remove the tray before removing the power supplies.

Procedure

  1. Select the appropriate CMA attachment bracket based on the side you mount the CMA (either SIDE A or SIDE B).
  2. Install the CMA attachment bracket at the back of the slide rail with the corresponding SIDE A or SIDE B marking.
  3. Align the holes on the bracket with the pins on the slide rail and push the bracket downward until it locks into place.
