Universal Collection Framework Secure Mode Setup

The Universal Collection Framework enables the collection of logs by way of Loglogic's Universal Collector Manager (UCM) product.

The Universal Collector Manager communicates with LogLogic LMI through Loglogic's proprietary Universal Lossless Data Protocol (ULDP).

To provide secure connectivity between the UCM and the LogLogic LMI appliance, an RSA private key in the form of a Certificate Signing Request (csr) must be generated by the LogLogic LMI appliance and then installed as a rootCA on the Universal Collector Manager, which in turn generates a corresponding signed certificate to be installed on the LogLogic LMI appliance.
