Define - EMS Endpoint Details

From the Define - Endpoints: EMS page, click Add or double-click an existing EMS endpoint, and then the EMS Endpoint Details page is displayed.

The following table describes the items that available on the EMS Endpoint Details page:

Item Description
Name Type an EMS endpoint name.
Description Type a short description for the EMS endpoint.
User ID Type the user ID for the EMS server connection.
Password Type the password associated with the user ID for the EMS server connection.
URL Type the URL of the EMS server, and the syntax of it is:

host: port

where:

  • host is the URL or IP address of the machine on which the EMS server runs.
  • port is the TCP port number.
CHECK Click this icon to check whether the host URL is valid.

If the host URL is valid, the Checked successfully message is displayed; otherwise, an error message is displayed.

SSL Type an EMS SSL Connection, or click the icon to select one.
Connection Factory Name (Optional) Type the name of the connection factory.
Auto create connection If you want a connection to be created automatically, select this check box.

By default, this check box is selected.
