SS-ES Ops: Connection Details

From the SS-ES Ops: Connections page, click Add or double-click an existing connection, and then the Connection Details page is displayed.

The following table describes the items that are available on the Connection Details page:

Item Description
Connection Name Type a name for the connection.
Substation Endpoint (Optional) Type a Substation endpoint name, or click the icon to select one.
Note:

When you select a Substation endpoint from the Substation Endpoint list, the Host (URL), User Name, and Password fields are filled in accordingly. It is editable after signing in with a user privileges to access Define.

Host (URL)

Type a URL, and the syntax of it is:

host: port

where:

  • host is the URL or IP address of the machine on which the Substation ES TCP interface runs.
  • port is the TCP port number of the Substation ES TCP interface.
CHECK Click this icon to check whether the host URL is valid.

If the host URL is valid, the Checked successfully message is displayed; otherwise, an error message is displayed.

User Name Type a user identifier if a special identification applies to the connection.

By default, the user name is admin.

Password Type the password associated with the user name if a special identification applies to the connection.
Use TLS Connection If you want to perform client authentication, select this check box.
Selection List If you select this check box, the connection is automatically displayed in the Output - Connection Name list on the SS-ES Ops: Console page.
