Type a name for the connection.

| Substation Endpoint
|
(Optional) Type a Substation endpoint name, or click the
 icon to select one.
Note:
When you select a Substation endpoint from the
Substation Endpoint list, the
Host (URL),
User Name,
Password, and
Use TLS Connection fields are filled in accordingly. It is editable after signing in with a user privileges to access
Define.

| Host (URL)
|
Type a URL, and the syntax of it is:
host: port
where:
- host is the URL or IP address of the machine on which the Substation ES TCP interface runs.
-
port is the TCP port number of the Substation ES TCP interface.

| CHECK
|
Click this icon to check whether the host URL is valid.
If the host URL is valid, the
Checked successfully message is displayed; otherwise, an error message is displayed.

| User Name
|
Type valid z/OS login ID in uppercase.
By default, the user name is
ADMIN.
|
| Password
|
Type the password associated with the user name if a special identification applies to the connection.
|
|
Use TLS Connection
|
If you want to perform client authentication, select this check box.
|
| Selection List
|
If you select this check box, the connection is automatically displayed in the
Output - Connection Name list on the
SS-ES Ops: Console page.
