Define - EMS Interface Details
On the Define - Interfaces: EMS page, click Add or double-click an existing EMS interface, and then the EMS Interfaces Details page is displayed.

Name | Type an EMS interface name. |
Description | Type a short description for the EMS interface. |
Interface ID | Type an EMS interface ID. |
Wait Time on Startup (sec) |
Enter a value in seconds to configure the wait time during startup of the interface. The value should be higher than other interfaces. Valid values for this field are in the range 120 - 600. The default value is 120. |
Workers | Enter the number of concurrent worker subtasks that are started to service Substation ES requests.
Valid values for this field are in the range 2- 40. The default value is 2. |
Workers (End of Task) |
Enter the number of End of Task (EOT) concurrent worker threads that are created for ESB to allow faster output for DPL worker connections. Valid values for this field are in the range 5 - 40. The default value is 30. |
Suspend Services | If you want this ESB interface to turn on the suspended function, select this check box.
By default, this check box is selected. |
Enable message delivery | Specifies whether the messages are to be sent for an ESB Interface.
By default, this check box is selected. |
Use Properties | Specify a keyword for EMS ESB endpoint, which determines whether this ESB interface uses properties for its own described fields, such as the tibss- fields. Because properties can be passed into Substation ES with Text and Bytes messages, this parameter is useful if XML and COBOL copybook layouts are passed. The output fields, such as tibss-status and tibss-envelope, can also be used for non-Enterprise Message Service mapped messages for CICS Request Reply.

Error Message Type |
Select the error message type for each ESB interface by selecting Map, Bytes, or Text from the list. Error Message Type identifies the EMS message type of the Substation ES error message to be delivered. By default, Map is selected. |
Dead Message Queue Name | Type the EMS queue name for EMS dead messages, they are the messages that cannot be delivered to their destinations. |
Maximum Total Size of All Messages (megabytes) |
Enter a value in megabytes to set the maximum size of the sum of all messages per EMS interface that can be allowed in the Substation ES system. |
