TIBCO MDM Installation on JBoss Application Server

Follow these instructions to install TIBCO MDM on JBoss Application Server.

Prerequisite

Ensure that JBoss 7.1 support is enabled for TIBCO MDM using JBOSS7 support property in Configurator (Node ID > Application Server).

Note: TIBCO MDM (release 8.3.2 onwards) supports only JBoss 7.1 (Thunder) version. If you are using the earlier version of JBoss, you need to migrate it to JBoss 7.1 (Thunder) version.
  • Directory Structure
    The JBoss Application Server 7.1 directory structure is different from its previous versions. Therefore, you should understand its directory structure. Go the location where you have downloaded the JBoss Application Server.
  • Standalone Directory Structure
    In the standalone mode, each JBoss Application Server 7 instance is an independent process similar to the previous JBoss versions, such as 3, 4, 5, or 6.
  • Creating Subdirectory Structure
    For creating a module, you need to create the sub-directory structure.
  • Module Creation
    Class loading in JBoss Application Server 7 version is different than the previous versions of the JBoss Application Server.
