Browsing Perspective Based Records

Using perspective, you can view a subset of a relationship, repository attributes, and relationship attributes. The top level of the perspective contains the entire relationship hierarchy, whereas the last level contains at least one relationship of the root with another repository.

For information on Creating Perspective, refer to the chapter, "Perspective Editor" in TIBCO MDM Studio Repository Designer User’s Guide.

Note:
  • You can hide the perspective for a particular role or a user through the resource security option. For more information, refer to the section, Permissions for Resource Type.
  • You can specify a list of values to set the default perspective for a user or a role. Use the List of Default Perspective property in Configurator to retrieve the default perspective based on a user or role. The value format is as follows:
    • For a user: enterprise_internal_name: repositoryname:username:perspectivename. For example, acme:customer:jsmith:perspective1
    • For a role: enterprise_internal_name: repositoryname:rolename:perspectivename. For example, acme:customer:repositoryeditor:perspective2.
