Logging Troubleshooting Tips

If you face any issues while logging into TIBCO MDM, use the following tips.

Logging Troubleshooting Tips
Issue Tip
On Windows 2003, when you log in to the application using Internet Explorer 6.x, the menu does not appear. Check whether the Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is enabled. If this option is enabled, add the server to your list of trusted sites.
If you use a shortcut or link to access the application, and if the link refers to a specific screen, the application attempts to display the correct screen after login. However, if the URL is incorrect or does not have enough information to display on the screen, the following error message is displayed:

Specified URL is not valid. This may happen when either an invalid or incomplete URL is provided or when session has expired.

Click Back on the error screen, you are redirected to the Inbox screen.
When login is attempted, if the "Application is not available right now. It may have failed to start correctly. Contact system administrator." error message is displayed, it indicates that the startup routine failed to start correctly. Contact the system administrator to resolve the error.
In all the UI screens, pressing the Shift+Tab keys may not take you to the previous edit box, if you have toolbars installed in your browser. Remove toolbars from the browser.
Use of buttons on the browser is not recommended. Using the Back, Forward, or Refresh buttons may work some times but it is likely to result in a conflict with the session data of the browser or the cache maintained by the application, causing inconsistent UI behavior and errors. Use the menu to switch between different sections of the application.
