Installing Service Pack from TIBCO MDM 9.1.0 HF-006

If you have installed TIBCO MDM 9.1.0 HF-006, perform the following steps to install TIBCO MDM 9.1.2 service pack.

Procedure

  1. Uninstall or undeploy the ECM.ear file from Application Server.
  2. Create the $MQ_HOME/customEAR directory.
  3. Copy the service pack TAR file to $MQ_HOME/customEAR directory.
  4. Navigate to the customEAR directory:
    • For UNIX:
      cd $MQ_HOME/customEAR
    • For Windows:
      cd %MQ_HOME%\customEAR 
  5. Extract the contents of the service pack TAR file:
    • For UNIX:
      tar -xvf filename.tar
    • For Windows: Unzip the TAR file.
  6. To install the service pack, run the following command from the $MQ_HOME/customEAR directory:
    • For UNIX:
      ./installSP.sh
    • For Windows:
      installSP.bat
  7. When prompted with Ready to continue, enter Y.
    This command creates an updated EAR file in the $MQ_HOME/customEAR directory.
  8. Deploy the updated ECM.ear file in the Application Server.
    The service pack is applied successfully.
  9. Navigate to $MQ_HOME/customEAR/package and copy the version.properties file to $MQ_HOME.
    Note: Before copying the latest file, take a back up of the existing version.properties file.
  10. Optional: To change the online Help URL (which is displayed when you click the Help icon in the TIBCO MDM application), change the value of Help URL property in the Configurator from https://docs.tibco.com/go/mdm/9.1.0/ to https://docs.tibco.com/go/mdm/9.1.2/. Documentation is not affected in this release and therefore points to version 9.1.0.
  11. Optional: If you have installed Linux, JBoss EAP 7.0, and Microsoft SQL Server combination, use either sqljdbc6.x.jar or sqljdbc4.2.jar.
  12. Optional: If you are using the Oracle database 12.2.0.1, use ojdbc8.jar.
  13. Restart the Application Server.
