Selecting Profile Settings

From the Profile Settings window, you can change home page, menu bar, and inbox page settings.

Procedure
1. Log in to TIBCO MDM.
2. Expand the user profile icon on the upper-right corner of the main UI and then select Settings.
   The Profile Settings window is displayed.
3. Perform the following operations on the Profile Settings window:

   Option	Description
   Home Page	By default, the home page is workflow inbox. To change the default home page, enter the custom home page name. The format of the home page name is CusomForm?componentName=homepagename. If your home page name is newHomePage, enter the value as CustomForm?componentName=newHomePage. Additionally, you can also change the default home page by using the Configurator. Change the value of the Change home page property to true in the Configurator. The home page is changed to the repository list.
   Menu Orientation	Select one of the following navigation menu bars that are displayed on the TIBCO MDM UI: Vertical: A flexible left menu bar. For the first time when you log in, the vertical left menu bar is displayed. You can show or hide this menu bar. To hide the vertical menu bar, click Menu displayed on the right next to the product title on the UI header. By hiding the vertical menu, you get more space for content. Horizontal: A static top menu bar, which provides convenience. After you select the horizontal menu setting, you cannot hide it. By default, the Vertical menu bar is displayed. To permanently set the Horizontal menu bar, add the following property in the Configurator in the Miscellaneous section of Cluster node: Configuration value name: MDM UI Menu orientation Internal name: com.tibco.mdm.ui.menu.orientation Version: 9.1.0 Description: Change display of MDM UI menu vertically or horizontally. Current Value: Horizontal Default Value: Vertical Visibility: Advanced Category: Miscellaneous
   Save Classic Inbox Search	Select Yes to display the Save Search Filters check box (for Advanced Search) on the Classic Inbox page. After you save the searched filters, the Saved Search Filters pane is displayed in the lower left corner of the Classic Inbox. Note: If you select Yes as the Save Classic Inbox Search option, you must select the Classic Inbox option from the Inbox Page drop-down list.
   Inbox Page	Select one of the following options: Classic Inbox Simplified Inbox Extended Inbox Custom Inbox For the Custom Inbox option, the Custom Inbox URL field is displayed where you can enter the valid custom page URL. The format of the URL is CustomForm?componentName=custompagename&pageName=custompagename. The custompagename is the name that you have specified when designing a custom page in UI Builder. For designing and deploying a custom UI page from UI Builder, see TIBCO MDM Studio UI Builder User's Guide. Tip: It is a good practice to use the custom inbox by using the valid custom page URL rather than using the custom pages as an inbox displayed on the Custom Pages tab. 4. Click Apply to apply the changes.
   A confirmation message is displayed.
5. Click OK.
