Quick Export

By using the Quick Export feature, you can export records and attributes from a repository to a file in the delimited format. The delimiter, text qualifier, file extension, and batch size are retrieved from the Configurator. For information, see the "Quick Export Properties" section in TIBCO MDM System Administration.

The Quick Export option is available on the following pages:

  • Search Record List page
  • Browse Subset page
  • View Records/ Relationship tab

Using the Quick Export option, you can:

  • Export records based on the Search criteria
  • Export root and related records
  • Export records based on the attribute security:
    • Resource Security: If the permissions are set not to view some attribute groups or records, the attributes belonging to those groups and records are not exported.
    • Rulebase: The attributes in the Attribute Group that are hidden using the Rulebase are not exported.
      Note: Rulebase is executed at repository level. The rulebase conditions do not evaluate any attribute values, that is, rulebase is not applied for each record separately.
  • Export records that contain a file attachment. In this case, only the filename is exported.
    Note: While exporting records, the date and timestamp formats are retrieved from the User Accounts profile.
    • If the date format is not selected for the user, the default date format is used. The default date format is set in the Configurator. For more information about setting the default date format, see the TIBCO MDM System Administration.
    • If the timestamp format is not selected for the user, the default timestamp format, that is, YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss.S is set.

      However, for the Time Zone format, whether or not the time zone format is selected for the user, the system time zone is applicable.
