User Parameters
You must enter the necessary user parameters to add or update a user account.

Authentication Parameters
Parameter | Description |

FTP Client Authentication Method | Defines the authentication method when the user accesses Internet Server through an FTP or FTPS client. |
SSH Client Authentication Method | Defines the authentication method when the user accesses Internet Server through an SSH (SFTP) client. |
HTTPS Client Authentication Method | Defines the authentication method when the user accesses Internet Server through an HTTP or HTTPS client. |
Platform Server Client Authentication Method | Defines the authentication method when the user accesses Internet Server through a Platform Server client. |
Certificate DN | Defines the distinguished name from the user's certificate.
Depending on the way that certificates are defined, this field can be used to associate a certificate with a user. |
Optional Parameters
Parameter | Description |

Department | Defines the department to which the user belongs.
This is only used with delegated administration. |
Visibility | The level of accessibility that other departments have to the user.
The default value is private. This field applies only when using delegated administration. |
Manage Departments | Defines the other departments that a department administrator can manage.
This field is ignored if the user is not assigned to a department. |
Description | Defines a short description for the user. |
Company Name | Defines the name of the company that the user works for. |
Phone Number | Defines the phone number of the user. |
Start Date | Defines the first date on which the user ID is valid and can log in to the system. |
End Date | Defines the date on which the user ID is no longer valid and cannot log in to the system. |
Client Protocol Allowed | Defines the type of protocols which is supported for the user while performing the transfer. |
Disable User | Defines whether the user can perform transfers.
When the transfer user accounts are disabled, the users will not be able to log in to the system. If the users have already logged in when their user accounts are disabled, they will not be able to conduct a file transfer. |
LDAP Status | Defines the status of the LDAP managed transfer user account. |
Trace Level | Defines the level of tracing to use for this user.
The trace level is normally turned on at the request of TIBCO Technical Support to troubleshoot a problem. Leave it as No Tracing during normal operation. |
Lock User | Indicates whether the user is locked out of the system. |
Max File Size | Defines the maximum size of a file that can be sent by a user in a send file request or File Share upload.
If this filed is not defined, the file size limit of the user is controlled by the Maximum File Size setting on the File Share Configuration page. |
Can Change Own Password | Defines whether users can change their passwords. |
Password Never Expires | Defines whether password expiration rules apply to this user.
When this check box is selected, the password for this user will never expire. When this check box is not selected, the password expiration depends on the global password rules defined on the System Configuration page. |
Change Password at Next Login | Defines whether users will be forced to change their password the next time they log in to the system. |
Restrict User | Defines whether to restrict incoming requests for this user to the defined IP address. |
IP Address or IP Name | Defines the IP address or IP name that the transfer user is restricted to use when connecting to the system. |
Netmask | Defines the IP netmask to be used when validating the incoming IP address. |
