Configuring the Email Server

To receive various email notifications from many of the MFT features that can be configured with email addresses, configure the IP or host name and the port of your email server.

Procedure

  1. Click Administration > System Configuration to open the System Configuration page.
  2. Configure the following email parameters in the Global Settings section:
    Parameter Description
    Email Host Name The IP or host name for the email server.
    Email Host Port The host port for your email server.

    The port number 25 is used by default.

    If you want to use a different port number, you can change the value to the port number that you want to use.

    Sender Email Address The sender email address used on all emails sent from TIBCO MFT Command Center.
    Transfer Notification Email URL The IP, host name, or DNS name of TIBCO Managed File Transfer (MFT) Internet Server which is used in email messages URL references when a transfer notification email is sent.
    Note: You have to define this field when TIBCO MFT Internet Server is being administered by TIBCO MFT Command Center.
    SMTP TLS The TLS/SSL encryption for the SMTP connection.
    Trust SMTP SSL Certificates Defines whether to trust TLS/SSL SMTP certificates.

  3. Click Update after you finish the configurations.
