Utilities Overview

TIBCO® Managed File Transfer Command Center provides two command-line utilities that can be invoked from a batch file, a UNIX script, as well as executed in unattended mode by a job scheduler for ease of use. It also provides a promotion utility that can be invoked from the command line and the GUI using a batch file or a UNIX script.

The installation of TIBCO Managed File Transfer (MFT) Command Center creates the MFTCC_install\distribution directory that contains Admin Client Utility, the Platform Transfer Client Utility, and the Promotions Utility

  • The Command Center Command Line Client (as known as Admin Client Utility) is designed for the administrator to conduct administrative operations through the command line on Windows and UNIX platforms.
  • The Platform Server Command Line Client (as known as Platform Transfer Client Utility) is designed for the end user to perform Platform Server transfers using TIBCO MFT Command Center through the command line on Windows and UNIX platforms.
  • The Promotion Utility is designed for the end-user to copy definitions from one TIBCO MFT system to another TIBCO MFT system using the GUI mode that can run on Windows or UNIX with a GUI interface or the command line mode.
