Starting the Collection Service

After the Platform Server is added and configured to have the audits records collected, the collection service must be enabled and started. The Collection service can collect audit records from any remote TIBCO MFT Platform Server set up with a server definition and configured to be managed by TIBCO MFT Command Center.

Note: After the Collection service is started, you have to restart it in the following situations:
  • Each time a Platform Server is added and configured to have audits records collected, the Collection service must be restarted.
  • When the Collect Platform Server History parameter or the Collection Interval parameter is changed in a server definition or the Default Collection Interval parameter set for the Collection service is changed, the Collection service must be restarted.

Procedure

  1. Click Management > Manage Services > Collection Service > Configure Collection Service. The Configure Collection Service page is displayed:
  2. Configure the collection service parameters on the Configure Collection Service page and click Update.
In this example, the collector is enabled and scheduled to pull records every 30 minutes unless the collection interval is overridden in the server definition.
  3. Click Management > Manage Services > Collection Service > Collection Service Status.
The Collection Service Status page is displayed.
  4. Click Start Collector, and then click Collector Status.
