You need to understand how MFT works in order to use this API. You need to create the necessary user, server and transfer definitions to upload or download files. You must also understand the differences between file and directory transfers. Hint: Configure the transfer definitions as directory transfers.

We suggest using the MFT browser transfer client to upload or download files to verify that the user, server, and transfer definitions have been made correctly. Once the browser client can perform the file transfer, the Java API should also work.
