Installing the Cached Desktop Client

You can use the cached installation to install the desktop client that would be initiated each time from the browser.

Procedure

  1. To connect and have the desktop, client run from your browser use one of the following URLs:
    • https://[DNS_HostName]:[Port]/[context]/client/cache.html
    • https://[DNS_HostName]:[Port]/desktop
  2. Click Start and the install to the browser will start. Check with your administrator if the install fails to start. When using Internet Explorer or Edge, the desktop client automatically starts. When using Chrome or Firefox, the cfcc-in.application file is downloaded. You must double-click the downloaded file to start the desktop client.
  3. Accept the End Users License Agreement (EULA) to complete the installation.
  4. Sign on when the install is done.

    The desktop client will open. Next time you want to use the client, just open your browser and use one of the cache URL and log on.
