Starting the TIBCO MFT Internet Server Service on UNIX Automatically

There are a number of methods that different UNIX/Linux operating systems use to automatically start processes at boot time. This example has been developed specifically for the Red Hat Linux Enterprise operating system, but has been tested successfully on many other UNIX and Linux distributions.

The instructions for setting automatic start on Red Hat Linux are:

  1. Add the JAVA_HOME variable to the MFTIS_Install/server/bin/setenv.sh file:
  2. Add the startup.sh shell script to the /etc/rc.local file.
    For example, /opt/MFTIS/server/bin/startup.sh.
