The What's New topic lists new and revised features of TIBCO® Managed File Transfer Platform Server for z/OS version 8.1.0 compared to the previous version.

Preprocessing Actions

An action can now be executed before a transfer is executed. This allows you to call a program before a transfer executes. Based on the return code, you can execute the transfer, terminate the transfer with a retry-able error, or terminate the transfer with a permanent error.

Active Transfer Inquiry

TIBCO MFT Command Center can report on active, inactive, and held transfers. This feature requires TIBCO MFT Command Center 8.3.0 version or above.

AES Encryption of Passwords

Passwords of profiles and responder profiles have been encrypted with AES 256 encryption.

Note: If a profile or responder profile is created with the 8.1.0 version, it will not work in a prior version.

Password Checks for Responder Profiles

Password rule checking has been added for responder profiles.

New Parameters
