Installing on macOS in Silent Mode

To silently install TIBCO Messaging - Apache Kafka Distribution - Core on macOS platforms, complete this task.

Procedure

  1. Download the installation package.
    Download the package for either the community edition or the enterprise edition.
    Note:

    The release number of the TIBCO Messaging - Apache Kafka Distribution - Core reflects the Apache Kafka release upon which it is based.

    Edition Command
    Community Edition 
    TIB_msg-akd-core-ce_2.3.1_macosx_x86_64.pkg
    Enterprise Edition 
    TIB_msg-akd-core_2.3.1_macosx_x86_64.pkg
  2. Open a terminal window and navigate to the directory in which the installer archive package is located.
  3. Run the installer silently. 
    sudo installer -pkg package_name -target /
